INTERVIEW

JENNIFER ANISTON INTERVIEW

SHE IS THE FACE OF EMIRATES, HAS TRAVERSED THE GLOBE AS AN INTERNATIONAL MOVIE STAR AND ADORES SPENDING TIME IN HER FATHER’S HOMELAND OF GREECE. JENNIFER ANISTON TAKES TIME OUT TO TALK TO ASPIRE ABOUT HER LOVE OF TRAVEL

YOU HAVE TRAVELLED EXTENSIVELY, PARTICULARLY AROUND THE STATES FOR WORK, BUT I GUESS CLARKSVILLE IN GEORGIA WILL ALWAYS HOLD THE MOST SPECIAL MEMORIES FOR YOU?

Yes, I know what you are alluding to, as that’s where I met my husband Justin (Theroux) on the set of Wanderlust. I have to admit it was incredible, and obviously one of the best times I’ve ever had on a film set. We spent three months together in Clarksville by a lake, next to a nudist colony. We loved it, we absolutely loved it. And it lent itself beautifully to the story that we were telling, because we were all in the kind of place that none of us had ever lived or experienced before, so we were sort of brought together.

ANYWHERE ELSE IN AMERICA?

I adore Californian evenings, and in fact they were the main inspiration for my perfume. I grew up in California and the

scent of jasmine on summer evenings has always stayed with me. The ocean too – that scent is just such an uplifting sensual experience. I love the ocean. I think Mexico is amazing too. Very open, very relaxed and never pretentious.

WHAT ABOUT EUROPEAN DESTINATIONS? ANY FAVOURITES?

Travel is about exploring, definitely, but it’s also about comfort and feeling homely and secure

London is always rich with life and diversity, but I do absolutely love Paris. It’s one of the most beautiful cities I’ve ever been to and the people have so much mystery and charm about them. I wouldn’t say Parisians were the most open, but they know they have that charm, and the language is just beautiful to listen to. A while back I stayed at this boutique hotel. It was like staying in someone’s apartment rather than a hotel. I love those quaint places and that whole idea of staying in an apartment rather than a hotel is a real global trend at the moment.
