Travel 2 signs deals with three brands to extend touring reach

Travel 2 has partnered with escorted tour specialist Cosmos, its sister brand Avalon Waterways and youth brand Contiki as it looks to extend its reach in the touring sector. The deals were announced at the Association of Touring & Adventure Suppliers (Atas) Conference in Birmingham last Monday. Mark Henderson, Travel 2

senior product and commercial manager for specialist product, said: “Agents have reacted really positively to the efforts we have made in the touring market over

the last 12 months. I am sure they will welcome the fact we are working with these three much-loved tour brands. Cosmos has an excellent reputation and, thanks to its heritage, is one of few names that consumers actively ask for. Adding Avalon Waterways will further enhance our river cruise coverage, which is becoming increasingly popular. Contiki Holidays opens up new possibilities. We see real potential for changing shopping habits in the 18-35 demographic.” Travel 2 now partners with 80 brands including

escorted and independent tours, rail, self-drives and non-ocean cruising. Its Incredible Journeys and Touring brochure launched

last month with 40 new tours. › Atas Conference, pages 16-26 travel2.com
