Palladium to host agents at new hotels in Mexico

Spanish hotel chain Palladium Hotel Group has opened two new-build all-inclusive hotels on Mexico’s Yucatan Peninsula and plans to host 35 UK agents on fam trips to the resorts before the end of the year.

Mujeres Resort & Spa, a five-star family-oriented property, and neighbouring adult-only property TRS Coral Hotel, were set to open on November 1 in Costa Mujeres, about 20 minutes from Cancun. The 670-room Grand Palladium Costa Mujeres Resort offers rooms with either a balcony or terrace, some with swim-up pools or hydro-massage hot tubs, plus a beach club, sports activities and family entertainment. Tourism New Zealand toolkit will help agents #getNZonthemap
Tourism New Zealand has created a toolkit to help the trade capitalise on its latest tongue-in-cheek #getNZonthemap campaign. The second phase of its online marketing campaign
has gone live on the New Zealand prime minister’s social channels. It features director Peter Jackson, singer Ed Sheeran, New Zealand prime minister
has 469 rooms, a Helios Beach Club, and access to all the facilities at its neighbouring resort. The hotels are linked via
The Village, an area with 14 restaurants, bars and shops, including Italian, Japanese, Thai and Mexican cuisine, plus five à la carte restaurants open only to guests of the TRS Coral Hotel. There is also a Rafa Nadal Tennis
Centre, with eight tennis courts. Nacho Gozalbo, commercial
director for the UK, France and Scandinavia, said: “Over the last 10
years, our property portfolio has evolved in response to changing lifestyles and to reflect a more upmarket and luxurious offering.” Information about the hotels has been added to agent training site Palladium Academy. The group will be hosting fams for 15 agents in November and 20 in December. Agent rates are $50 per person
per night at Grand Palladium Costa Mujeres Resort, and $70 at the TRS Coral Hotel. Customer rates start
at £178 and £220 respectively.

Bedsonline and TravelCube merge to offer 170k hotels
Bedsonline has integrated sister brand TravelCube amid a brand refresh that will raise the number of hotels available to agents from 55,000 to 170,000. It follows the acquisition of GTA, TravelCube’s parent, by Bedsonline parent Hotelbeds Group last year.
Disney Stars adds Nature Resorts training module
