Boell quits NCL to take up cruise role at Der Touristik
Christian Boell has quit his role as Norwegian Cruise Lines managing director for the EMEA region to join Kuoni parent Der Touristik Group today (November 1). He is tasked with driving the company’s cruise business and will report in to Sören Hartmann, chief executive of Der Touristik.
Kosmar seeks recruits for new homeworking arm
Start-up online venture Kosmar has begun recruiting for a homeworking division. The Sheffield-based travel agency, which launched in October and brought back the name of the former Greece specialist, plans to take on five experienced homeworkers initially and employ 15 by the end of 2019.

Virgin Atlantic appoints Jarvinen from Finnair
Finnair’s chief commercial officer is to join Virgin Atlantic in the new year as commercial executive vice-president. Juha Jarvinen’s appointment, and that of British Gas chief information officer Ash Jokhoo as technology senior vice-president at the airline from February, will complete Virgin Atlantic’s leadership. Current chief executive Craig Kreeger and technology chief Don Langford retire at the end of the year.

Carnival Cruise Line is on the hunt for eight agent ‘Fun Ambassadors’ to help the line drive engagement with its trade loyalty programme.
The Carnival Fun Ambassadors
will feed advice and ideas back to the line in exchange for year‑long benefits, such as all-expenses-paid trips to Ibiza and Miami. To be in with a chance of becoming an ambassador, agents must enter a competition by telling Carnival why it is fun working as a travel agent and suggest changes they would like to see made to the line’s Loyalty Rocks Club rewards programme. Agents with a sense of fun, a passion for cruising and plenty of ideas will be chosen, the line said. The eight Carnival Fun Ambassadors will earn double
