DICK SPIERENBURG ARCHITECT WHO FOUNDED HIS OWN STUDIO


Dick Spierenburg was a student


of Architecture at


Delft University of Technology and Interior & Product Design at the Royal Academy of Art in The Hague. In 1978, he joined the Dutch manufacturer Castelijn who produced many


of his furniture designs. Since 1995, he has initiated various interior design exhibitions. Besides his architectural designs of offices, factories and private houses, Dick Spierenburg has worked as Creative Consultant for imm cologne, from 2011 as Creative Director. In 2009, he founded his own studio.

Prof. Martin Stosch began his career as a product developer for companies in the furniture and supplier industry. In 2000, he was appointed to lecture in industrial furniture manufacturing at Ostwestfalen- Lippe University of Applied


Sciences. Since 2003 his research and teaching focus has been on the lightweight construction of furniture. In 2008, Prof. Stosch formed the lightweight construction association Leichtbau e.V. (igeL) in association with several other fellow stakeholders from the wood industry.
