Discuss the scene and ask the children to find and colour items that begin with the target sound. Also discuss the items that do not begin with that sound.

Flash cards
Use the flash cards of the initial sounds and corresponding pictures to introduce and revise the sounds from each unit. The children can play Matching Pairs, Go Fish and Snap using the flash cards as a warm-up or revision activity.
Initial sound sorting mat (s, a, t, i, p, n, c)
Using the sorting activity, the children can work in pairs or individually to sort the pictures into the correct column by identifying the initial sound for each picture.
