A Group chat Encourage the children to discuss what they see in the poster.
B Listen to the sounds. Colour the picture that makes each sound.
The children listen to five sounds. Each sound will be played three times. The children will hear:
1. an elf hammering 2. a toy car beeping 3. a bell ringing 4. an elf whistling ‘We wish you a Merry Christmas’ 5. a robot.
Ask the children to identify what is making the sound in the picture and to circle or colour the object.
Modified Activity (for less able pupils) Scaffold less able pupils by pointing to the objects and miming the action (circling) or picking up the relevant coloured crayon.
