SAVEURS, ANDRIA & BUNNED -

bringing great food, service and passion to Dartmouth

In early 2008, two local business ventures were launched that would later become Dartmouth institutions. One was obviously By The Dart magazine (100 issues old this month), another was Saveurs - Dartmouth’s very own French bakery and café run by Julien and Guylaine Picamil, producing the most delicious freshly baked hand-crafted French breads, pastries, cakes and chocolates.

Street and Victoria Road but last month relocated to just around the corner to 4 Market Street. In its place has emerged a fun new restaurant – Bunned – serving up high quality burgers that are already winning an enthusiastic following amongst visitors and residents alike. ndria emerged out of the first 2020 lockdown and has immediately garnered a loyal local following and rave reviews – TripAdvisor calls

it ‘Great food, great vibe, great service’. Google reviews give it 4.8/5.0. Trip Advisor ranks it #2 in Dartmouth winning 5 stars from 150 reviews. Julien and Guylaine were keen to start a new restaurant serving

tapas style dishes to tap into (no pun intended) the more relaxed dining vibe that is spreading fast throughout the UK. They got their opportunity when the former Dartmouth Eats café became available in early 2020. Snapping it up, they immediately set about planning something very new for Dartmouth. As Head Chef/Patron to run the new venture, they called upon their friend and former colleague, Luca Berardino. Luca first cut his teeth as a chef with Saveurs nearly a decade ago. He left to get experience elsewhere, returning to head up a new Saveurs restaurant in Totnes, and then left again to take up the position of Head Chef at On The Rocks in Brixham. The chance then to head up and drive this new venture forward in Dartmouth was too good to miss. Luca was born in Paris, trained in the UK and raised on five
