JOINT EXERCISE WITH DARTMOOR MOUNTAIN SEARCH & RESCUE TEAM The Dartmoor Rescue Group

comprises four teams to cover the 365 square miles of Dartmoor and beyond. The members of the Dartmoor Rescue Group, like those of the overall Mountain Rescue organisation, are all volunteers. On return to the meeting point, the exercise finished and the respective teams met to de-brief. All agreed on how valuable the exercise was and how well we were able to work with each other, even given the differing ways in which we operate. The importance of understanding how each agency works was emphasised and all agreed that valuable lessons were learned. Most importantly, inter-agency
