players in the changing room before a game to say what I want and what I expect from them.” Gary, who is a yard supervisor at RGC during the day, also looks after the pitch, mowing and strimming it once a week during the season alongside groundsman Terry Chalk. Thanks in part to the bargain £13 joining fee, the club has around 250 members who enjoy cheering the teams on before retiring to the clubhouse to celebrate or drown their sorrows in a pint or two. The club also raises money via sponsorship from local businesses who advertise on boards outside of the club grounds and around the pitch. And to give back to the community, supporter


Claire Frost has launched a series of bingo evenings on behalf of the club to raise money for Rowcroft Hospice, Macmillan Cancer Support and the Devon Air Ambulance.
