Dartmouth business support to stay safe So, for our accommodation and self-catered accommodation providers, the take away message is that the mood is getting more favourable but the focus on COVID prevention measures at your property is still of the utmost importance. Keeping our visitors safe is key, but so is looking after our staff and those who live around us. This is all about the steps we can take as an Industry to maintain the safety of our Destination and all those who reside /visit here.
ll of our tourism and hospitality businesses have worked hard since
the pandemic began to ensure their businesses are safe workplaces for their staff, safe places to shop, dine, stay or experience for our visitors and, therefore, create safety for our community. The latest Visit Britain research
shows that the mood for travel is growing more and more positive, with 35% of the target audience (those looking to travel between November and March next year) feeling the worst has passed. This along with a forecast of a slow visitor increase in the Spring of 2022 followed by a more substantial increase in the Summer, indicates change is happening. Confidence is growing in taking
overnight UK trips with around 55% saying they will take a trip in the next 12 months. The barriers they reported are 1. the weather 2. personal finances 3. catching COVID
