Dartmouth Fatstock Show 2021 T


his year despite the ongoing COVID issues, our farmers and animals will be


coming to town on Tuesday 14th December for the Dartmouth Fatstock Show. It will be fantastic to meet our


farming colleagues for the cut and thrust of competition and friendly banter. Equally, we will be pleased to have the opportunity to meet with our friends and customers in town. Importantly, the annual Fatstock Show provides


an opportunity for local people to see the animals and to see the care and pride taken by the exhibitors, rearing and showing them. The event also gives everyone the opportunity to buy their Christmas poultry direct from local producers at the afternoon auction. The good news is that the turkeys, geese, ducks and chicken have still been produced on the farms to the usual high standards, and we hope that you will continue to support those farmers.


The Show starts at 10am with the judging of sheep, cattle and dead poultry. After lunch at the Market House, the afternoon starts with prize and cup presentations at 2pm, followed by the Grand Draw and then the poultry auction. There have been a couple of changes since 2019. President Nigel Way has stepped down after selling the Royal Castle Hotel. Our new President is Keith Grant of the Sportsmans Arms. Looking forward to seeing you there!
