Quooker ramps up support for kbbreview Save Our Skills campaign

HOT WATER tap brand Quooker has shown its commitment to supporting the industry by extending its sponsorship of the kbbreview Save Our Skills Campaign.

The kbbreview Save Our Skills campaign is once again allowing any employer in the KBB industry to post job vacancies on kbbreview.com for free. Thanks to the ongoing support from Quooker, the initiative will continue until at least the end of September.

“I’m delighted that Quooker has committed to supporting this important initiative so that we can continue offer the industry free job ads,” said kbbreview managing editor Andrew Davies. “To see so many businesses recruiting again after the challenges of last year is fantastic and we want to play our part in spreading such a positive message. It really shows how resilient this industry has been overall, but we must never forget that there have been many redundancies since the pandemic first hit and they are still happening.”

The kbbreview Save Our Skills campaign was launched in spring 2020 as the coronavirus situation began to lead to many redundancies within the KBB sector. It has been supported by Quooker from the beginning. The move in emphasis of the campaign coincides with a noticeable drop in the number of redundancies hitting the industry and a sudden rise in vacancies being advertised. Job vacancies will be posted at kbbreview.com/jobs for free for 30 days. Contact Tara McTigue – tara@taylistmedia.com – with your details.

Harrison Bathrooms invests in new Scudo showroom

HARRISON BATHROOMS has opened a new showroom at its headquarters in Leeds, west Yorkshire, as part of its ongoing strategy to help support its retail network. The new facility, which is the result of a six-figure investment, features a wide selection of products from its Scudo portfolio. The products are displayed in “luxurious” lifestyle settings, with the aim of giving its retail partners the opportunity to browse the full collection, so they can see which products would fit in their own showrooms. Viewing is by appointment only.

Shaun Corcoran, commercial director at Harrison Bathrooms, said: “We have roots in the bathroom industry that go back more than 100 years, so we’re always looking for ways in which to elevate our business, in order to enhance the services and experiences we offer to our retailers.

“Our new Scudo showroom makes it easier than ever for retailers to browse the full collection. The layout of the new facility means retailers can take inspiration for displays in their own showrooms, as well as being able to get up-close to the products and experience the superior quality of our ranges for themselves. The showroom’s location in our warehouse also allows visitors to see the vast amount of stock we hold at any one time, demonstrating that we can facilitate their order quickly and efficiently.”

The launch of the new Scudo showroom comes just over a year since Harrison Bathrooms moved to its new 68,000sq ft premises, which enabled the business to increase its overall product selection by 40%.
