SEASON 3 EPISODE 5
Halcyon and CP Hart
Big developments in this episode as Andy actually leaves the loft to go and see some real retailers in actual showrooms. In the first of a two-part
trip out into the wild, Andy visits two legendary London locations - Wigmore Street and Waterloo.
The first is the home of Halcyon Interiors and Andy meets up with showroom and design manager Graham Robinson. How has the most famous premium kitchen street in the UK fared during the lockdowns? Then he heads over to Waterloo to the spectacular flagship showroom of CP Hart and sits down with Group sales director Paul Rowland (pictured). How are they finding the market now the showrooms are open? And is it possible to plan for the future?
SEASON 3 EPISODE 7
...with Mark Millar
It’s a very special episode this week as we’re talking to Mark Millar, the host of ‘Dream Kitchens and Bathrooms’, the recent Channel 5 show dedicated to
this very sector. We talk about how the show was made during lockdown, how product and fitter shortages delayed the whole filming and how important it was for him to show accurate prices and timescales for premium kitchens and bathrooms. Mark has been in the construction industry for over 30 years and you probably know him best from DIY SOS on the BBC. We also talk about how that programme is one of the few on TV that shows tradespeople as being skilled, dedicated, professionals. Most importantly, he and Andy discuss the one thing they have in common - they’ve both been contestants on the game show Pointless...

SEASON 3 EPISODE 6
The need to save water and KBB vs KBH
To mark World Environment Day 2021 on June 5, we looked at one of this industry’s biggest environmental
impacts – how much water we use. We delve into a scheme designed to tackle that very issue – the Unified Water Label with its managing director Yvonne Orgill. In particular, why it’s important to retailers to understand and get behind the scheme as their business might just depend on it. Then, we’re asking whether we should even be called kbbreview at all – should we be kbHreview. One high-profile retailer is arguing that the acronym KBB doesn’t accurately describe the purpose or direction of the industry and it should actually be KBH – kitchen, bathroom and home. We talk it through with Tony Robson from DayTrue (pictured).
SEASON 3 EPISODE 8
Marketing planning for the long term
It’s an episode jam packed with advice this time as this episode sees the return of friend-of-the-show David
Barker from marketing specialists Inspire KBB. In particular, we’re talking about long term marketing plans for KBB retailers.
If demand is really high, and you’re dealing with the shortest of short-term issues every day, why should you be thinking about plans way off into the future? And how do you go about doing it when there is still so much uncertainty about what happens next? We get all the tips and insight from David including what you could and should be doing tomorrow to make the current high demand last as long possible.
