MGM Unveils Vision for MGM Empire City


MGM Resorts has unveiled its vision to transition Empire City Casino into a world- class entertainment destination if awarded a commercial casino licence.


MGM Resorts International has unveiled its vision to transition Empire City Casino by MGM Resorts into a world-class entertainment destination, MGM Empire City, if awarded a commercial casino licence for its historic Yonkers, New York site.


Key elements of the phase one design include a comprehensive casino floor redevelopment and expansion, 5,000-capacity entertainment venue, state-of-the-art BetMGM sportsbook, food and beverage outlets by celebrated chefs, cocktail bars and lounges, technologically advanced meeting spaces and more.


MGM Empire City's plans feature a complete property redevelopment shifting from a video lottery terminal racino into a full-scale commercial casino with live-dealer table games, the newest slot machines and a high- limit gaming area for the most discerning casino guests.


Te design includes the addition of several new destination dining experiences, including a modern steakhouse, a casual quick-serve Italian American experience and an authentic

Penn Entertainment has hosted a groundbreaking ceremony for the second hotel tower at M Resort Spa Casino. Te project, with an estimated budget of $206m, is expected to add 384 rooms to the company’s property south of the Las Vegas Strip, bringing its total to 774 rooms and suites.


Along with the rooms, there will be expanded meetings space, updated amenities with additional local partnerships announced at a later date. Te new hotel is part of four new growth projects that includes new land-based casinos in Aurora and Joliet, Illinois, and a new hotel in Columbus, Ohio. “We can’t wait to begin construction on a second hotel tower at M Resort,” said Jay Snowden, CEO and President of PENN Entertainment.


Asian noodle bar and eatery. Existing venues Big Kitchen food court and Te Pub sports bar will also transform into new, high-end food concepts.


Te plan also includes development of a new parking garage to significantly enhance the guest arrival experience while also providing visitors with direct and convenient access to the casino and its amenities.


Te entertainment venue will be the first-of-its- kind in the region, hosting A-list performers and events in a 5,000-capacity setting with unrivalled views, cutting-edge acoustics and dedicated amenities. MGM Empire City's entertainment venue will boost the region's economy, attracting new events to the market and bringing together locals and tourists alike.


A commercial casino licence will also enable MGM Empire City to introduce Te BetMGM Sportsbook & Lounge, offering guests lively game day experiences with a 112-foot wrap- around LED screen, stadium seating, VIP areas, multiple betting kiosks and food and beverage operations.


Nevada Circa Sports to open new sportsbook at Silverton


Circa Sports, the Las Vegas-based sports betting brand from CEO Derek Stevens, has partnered with Las Vegas casino-hotel Silverton Casino Lodge to launch a newly renovated Las Vegas sportsbook.


Marking Circa Sports’ fifth satellite book in southern Nevada and first in southwest Las Vegas, the venture will assume operations through a temporary location at Silverton on January 1, 2024, with the permanent sportsbook officially debuting in March – just in time for March Hoops season.


Located next to Silverton’s parking garage, the permanent 1,600- square-foot Circa Sportsbook at Silverton will offer a variety of seating options and ways to enjoy the day’s games, including a Daktronics screen that can be configured to show games from all


major sports leagues and other streaming services, three betting windows, three self-serving betting kiosks, odds boards and betting sheet racks, 12 lounge chairs, six four-person tables, four six-person booths and 22 bar top games. Te new Sportsbook will be the next step in recent renovations for Silverton Casino Lodge. Rooms at the newly renovated lodge, which have undergone a complete $40m renovation, are now open, creating a new boutique hotel experience.


Coming in early 2024 is a $10m backyard and pool renovation called Te Swimmin’ Hole, which will include poolside dining, sports and movies at the pool, cabanas, and fire pits. While the permanent book closes for renovation, Circa will assume Silverton’s operations through a temporary book.

Michigan - RSI goes live with EveryMatrix titles Rush Street Interactive is live with EveryMatrix casino content at BetRivers in Michigan, marking the iGaming supplier’s first games launch in the Great Lake state. Class II Mobile-on-Premise gaming is an advancement in the tribal gaming industry within the United States and it incorporates a combination of bingo and non-banked card games, making it the first of its kind. Playtech and Anaxi will merge their expertise in Playtech’s player account management (PAM) solution and mobile gaming application Development with Anaxi Class II Slots games to support the growing requirements of tribal gaming.
