New Optical Delay Line Series from PI
AUBURN, MA — PI has intro- duced a series of air bearing- based optical delay line stages. The ADL25 through ADL300 delay lines provide delays from 0.16 to 2 nanoseconds with time resolution down to 0.035 fem- toseconds. The 2023 Nobel Prize in
Physics was awarded for research into attosecond pulses of light. In time-resolved spec-
ond and even attosecond range is made possible by delay-line stages. The mechanical precision required for controlling these minute time increments is made obvious, when one considers that a delay of 0.1 femtoseconds is achieved with a positional change of only 14 nanometers. Historically, delay lines have
relied on mechanical bearing lin- ear stages and motion controllers. However, the geometric per- formance limitations of mechanical bearings can impact the precision of measured re sults, and veloc- ity constraints may restrict the number of experiments within a given time slot. In contrast, air bear-

troscopy, dynamic processes in materials and chemical com- pounds can be studied precisely. With the help of ultra-short pulse lasers, changes can be made visible, with time scales down to the attosecond range. Due to the limited speed of
light, making the light travel a longer distance to its destina- tion, will change the timing. A precise control in the femtosec-
ings present notable advan- tages over their mechanical counterparts. They exhibit significantly lower pitch/ yaw angular errors and
near-perfect straightness and flatness. This ensures that, dur- ing pumping and probing at dif- ferent delays, the beam remains at or very close to the Region or
Point of Interest. Contact: PI (Physik

KYOCERA AVX Intros Load Dump Varistors
FOUNTAIN INN, SC — KYOCERA AVX has released a new range of load dump varis- tors as an extension of its trusted TransGuard Automotive Series. These varistors are zinc-oxide- based ceramic semi con - ductor devices that provide bidirectional over voltage protection and EMI/RFI attenuation in a single, space-saving SMT package qualified to AEC-Q200. Key features include a
unique monolithic multilay- er construction, nonlinear, bidirectional voltage-current characteristics, high-current and energy-handling, multi-strike ca - pa bilities, and extremely fast, sub- nanosecond response times. The new varistors offer
higher peak current ratings (2,000A) than the rest of the series, providing reliable protec- tion against high-energy auto- motive load dump transients.
MANSFIELD, TX —Mouser Elec - tronics has expanded its range of LED products to cater to a variety of diverse applications. The imple- mentation of LED lighting has become widespread with the tech- nology used in various areas, such
