April/May, 2024 DISPLAY VISIONS: Smart HMI Control Systems

SAINT PAUL, MN — DISPLAY VISIONS has launched new uniTFT touch displays. Graphics and I/O controllers are both already integrated in these smart displays. With the HMI displays in the uniTFT

series, DISPLAY VISIONS offers brilliant graphics displays and intelligent small control systems in one. Due to the integrated I/O and high-performance graphics controller, users can implement complete control applications without the need for additional µC or PLC. There are no limits to the use of these —

whether for building automation, control pan- els in mobile homes and fitness appliances or controlling industrial production processes.

Smart touch display.

The uniTFT displays master logical and arithmetic operations and data communica-

tion and storage. They also have four analog inputs and eight freely programmable inputs or outputs (3.3V). They have external sensors and microcontrollers to communicate via I2C, SPI, RS232 and USB ports. The models up to 4.3 in. (109 mm) store data in internal flash memories; the displays from 5 to 10.1 in. (127 to 257 mm) also have a micro-SD slot. There is also an audio output for acoustic alerts. The operating voltage is 3.3V only. Thanks to state-of-the-art IPS technolo-

gy, the optimal viewing angle is an impres- sive 170° horizontally as well as vertically. This means that the displays show an image with the color and contrast just as they should be, even from very periph- eral perspectives. With typical brightness of 1,000 cd/m2, they are also still easy to read in situ- ations with unfavorable ambient light. Their touch screens have multi-touch control. The smart uniTFT displays

CO-LOCATED WITH

are available in graduated sizes from 1.5 to 10.1 in. (38 to 257 mm), with resolutions between 240 x 240 RGB pixels and 1,280 x 800 pixels. For programming, DIS- PLAY VISIONS has provided the WYSIWYG editor uniTFT Design - er free of charge. Simu lators, debuggers, instrument and clock editors as well as numerous exam- ples, ready-made graphics and animations are already imple- mented in this high-performance

development environment. Contact: DISPLAY

Cloud-Based Device Management

from EPLAN SCHAUMBURG, IL — Eplan eStock, the cloud-based device management system on the Eplan Platform, lets users man- age and maintain device data right in a browser, including voltages, currents, data sheets and component designations. When making the first key-

strokes for the entry, users see all devices in their own database in addition to all the relevant devices for the search in the Eplan Data Portal. Users can then open the desired device in the same window and, in case it hasn’t been already, import it with one or two clicks. Users can then add data and/or make changes to the draft version before approving it and actually

using the device in a project. Contact: EPLAN Software &
