falling out with his partner, he told his son that he needed a new partner and salesperson and if he wanted to work together, that was the time. Dave Jr. packed his bags and moved to Cincin- nati, marking his start in the electronics industry. “In my career so far, I’ve
been able to see at least two ma- jor changes within our industry. The first of which being the tran- sition from through-hole technol- ogy assembly to SMT, and we are now in the midst of a digital rev- olution,” says Dave Jr. “The level of automation, digitization, and the juncture between the two taking place within our industry is truly exciting.” As for their legacy, Dave Sr.
says, “I hope that I will be remem- bered as a hard-working person of high integrity and humility and I hope that the industry will view my son in the same regard.” He expresses his gratitude to
friends and colleagues in the in- dustry for a successful career spanning more than four decades. “It is my hope that my son will continue his successful ways and someday maybe people will say that we were just two humble and grateful people in a challenging industry,” he concludes.

dad has been the best opportuni- ty they’ve ever been given. They explain that spending time to- gether working makes them proud of what they’ve built. Mark Sr., Murray Sr.’s
youngest son, joined the compa- ny a short time after Murray Jr. “As with working with my father, working with my son has allowed us to spend a great deal of time together. It has also allowed me to gain much respect for his per- sonal and professional growth.” His son, Mark Jr., says that his involvement with the company was always an available opportu-
nity but was never given to him nor expected of him. “We took a chance and it turned out to be a great move for both myself and the company,” he says. “We’ve been set up for success starting with Murray Sr., grown under Mark Sr. and Murray Jr., and now it’s the third generation’s turn to take the business to a new level of success.”

right manufacturing solutions be- fore the sale, and excellent ongo- ing service and support after the sale. Helping you succeed is our goal,” states Tom Wittmer. In 1988, WittcoSales was
started by Tom in southern Cali- fornia, after several years of sales in wire, ceramic and lead. Once the company was off the ground, Tom began to focus more on sell- ing both consumables and capital equipment to both the SMT and semiconductor industries. “Grow- ing up was unique in the way that I knew very little about the indus- try or what my dad actually did, except that he was in sales,” says Continued on next page
