SAN JOSE, CA — Automotive Ethernet is emerging as a guiding trend for both system designers and component suppliers. With each vehicle’s required bandwidth contin- uing to grow, interconnect solutions capable of handling gigabit Ethernet transmission is now critical when developing an automotive network platform. Yamaichi Electronics has
designed its Y-HDE series to support high-speed gigabit Ethernet for next- generation automotive networks. With its experience in high-speed interconnects, the company has cre- ated the new series to meet a wide range of Ethernet speeds, from 100BASE-T1 and 1,000BASE-T1 to multi-gigabit networks. In addition, Y-HDE connectors are capable of 10 Gb/s or higher transmission speeds. They have been designed with color-
coded jackets to ensure foolproof and easy assembly. An accompanying cable assem-
bly product for the Y-HDE series is available to provide a total solution package for customers looking for reliable automotive Ethernet.

Noncontact Differential Measuring System
MIDDLETOWN, CT — The measur- ing division of Kaman Precision Products is now offering its DIT- 5200L, a noncontact displacement measuring system. The system is designed for fast-steering mirrors, servo control position feedback, stage positioning, and angular displace- ment indication, as well as x/y orbit position feedback and stylus position. Offering differential or common
mode rejection at an economical price, the DIT5200L provides advanced pre- cision measurement technology with exceptional resolution, repeatability, and nulling accuracy. Applications for the DIT-5200L include laser commu- nications, optical stabilization and magnetic bearings. The DIT-5200L includes impor-
tant enhance ments to Kaman’s previ- ous DIT-5200 product, resulting in lower noise (better resolution) and CE
marking. Capable of sub-nanometer resolution, the DIT-5200L provides thermal stability of ±0.03 percent and sensitivity up to 10 V/mil, or 39 mV/µm. With a small package size of 7.7
in.3 (115 cm3), the DIT-5200L is extremely linear, to 0.1 percent of the full range, and is available in both single- and dual-channel configura- tions. The DIT-5200L signal condi- tioning electronics is packaged in a die cast aluminum box with MCX style sensor connections. Input/out- put (I/O) is on a nine-pin mini-D con- nector. The input power connections
are reverse voltage protected. Contact: Kaman Precision
