Janome Highlights Broad Range of Industrial Robots
ELK GROVE VILLAGE, IL — Janome is now offering a broad range of industrial robotics and servo presses, including the JR3000 and JS-3 SCARA robots, JR3000ERT se- ries depaneling robot, JP5 series servo press, and JC-3 Cartesian se- ries robots. The JR3000 series desktop ro-
bots can be coupled with the accura- cy of the ASG X-Paq driver to deliver improved consistency, target torque and overall finish quality in screw-
tightening applications. Users can also confirm the num-
ber of screws tightened and the sys- tem can alert the operator to any un- seated screws. The company is also offering a new dispensing package for its
JR3000 desktop robot with ASG X-Paq.
JR3000 series. This fully integrated dispensing solution allows for rapid teaching through the camera’s crosshair mark, CAD importing, workpiece detection, and position correction. The package includes an integrated Cognex vision system and can be configured for three- and four- axis designs. The company’s newly updated
JS-3 SCARA robot is designed to pro- vide the convenience of hands-on di- rect-teach, teaching pendant or PC programming in a high-speed pack- age for cycletime critical projects. Four axes provide movement free- dom and increased rotation allows the robot to reach “behind” the post to access that space. A cost-effective alternative to
large-box router systems, Janome’s JR3000ERT depaneling robot re- moves tabs on PCBs without stress- ing the boards. Its dust bin collects debris in a replaceable filter. An ESD dust shield protects the opera- tor. Cut paths can be drawn over im- ported DXF, Gerber or image file. Janome has designed its JP5 series servo press to collect data and realize results quickly. The system needs only power, the user’s parts and a fixture to begin configuration. A re- peatability of 0.0002 in. (0.005 mm) ensures that parts are mated with precision. The JC-3 Cartesian series of-
fers users the option of a three- or four-axis robot. The robot can be used to work over conveyed, large or oddly shaped parts easily. Users may choose the orienta-
tion that best suits their needs and select T-frame or H-frame configura- tions based on the application. Teaching is as easy as with the
company’s other robots, and onboard I/O and all ports are mounted conve- niently on the front of the control box.
