Nordson ASYMTEK Launches ARC Dispensing Software

CARLSBAD, CA — ASYMTEK, a part of Nordson ELECTRONICS SO- LUTIONS, is now offering its patent- pending Automated Ratio Calibra- tion (ARC™) technology, designed to enable easy set up and sustained mix ratios for dispensing two-component (2K) fluid materials.

Hermetic Sealing Protects Welds in Harsh Environments

tions, such as industrial 5G commer- cial communications, aerospace, and military electronic devices. Ensuring an excellent seal

through welding is extremely impor- tant, and only trusted weld device manufacturers who account for the demands explained above can ensure highly accurate and reliable welds. Manufacturers like Amada Weld Tech are incorporating these stan- dards into current controlled-envi- ronment welding technology and are developing technology for the future

ARC is part of a system that in-

cludes ASYMTEK Vortik® progres- sive cavity pumps and ASYMTEK dispensing platforms, which ensures consistently accurate mix ratios by volume or weight to improve overall dispense quality. Electronics manufacturers rec-

ognize that today’s 2K fluids offer lower cost of ownership and greater process flexibility. However, it can be complicated to set up an application to accurately dispense the correct ratio of part A and part B materials,

requiring manual calculations and time-consuming test iterations. ARC technology was developed as a fea- ture in Fluidmove® software to sim- plify 2K set up and to control meter- ing and mix ratios during dispensing operations. To complete a 2K application

setup using ARC software, operators enter basic information, such as the mix ratio method (mass or volume), mix ratio, fluid density, fluid work- ing life, and desired material flow rate.

The set up process is complete

in minutes and operator errors are avoided, because there is no need to manually calculate RPM values to achieve a desired mix ratio. Down- time is minimized and throughput is preserved. Log files provide trace- ability of dispensing process data. Contact: Nordson ASYMTEK,

that will enable even greater accura- cy and weld success. The future of hermetic sealing

is likely to be robot-assisted seam sealing pick-and-place with smart vi- sion systems, which have the poten- tial to eliminate current margins of error and lead to even greater suc- cess in hermetic sealing of sensitive electronic devices. Contact: Amada Weld Tech,
