Rehm Launches ProCap Reflow Monitoring Software

DULUTH, GA - Rehm Thermal Systems has intro- duced its ProCap reflow process monitoring soft- ware, designed to allow electronics manufacturers to ensure that PCBs are processed in compliance with all prescribed regulations. The software mon- itors the stability of the reflow process for each in- dividual product, enabling excellent board-by- board traceability. The ProCap software offers continuous statis-

tical process ability control, having been tailored specifically for the company’s Vision series of sys- tems. The developers focused on simple and effi- cient operation, as well as a clear screen design. During the entire process, ProCap uses sensi-

tive sensor technology to continuously measure the temperature across the assembly. Process parameters are au- tomatically stored for the product. Each subsequent assembly is then compared with the saved parameters. The first 50 assemblies, metal plates or dummy boards are measured and compared for SPC. This offers an av- erage value as a reference for all fur- ther measurements and provides a perspective on the process stability. A live window lists all current

production parameters over the peri- od, displays the target values and re- liable tolerances and lists warnings in the current order. As soon as a value does not correspond to the standard and deviates from the baseline, the program displays an alarm.

Conformal Coating and Curing from Seika

TORRANCE, CA — Seika Machinery, Inc., is now offering its AI-TEC PCB conformal coating and curing system. The patented conformal coating dis- penser is designed to control both tem-

at the same time. Gradual changes, such as a clog- ging nozzle, can be identified quickly. This makes the system useful for integrating predictive mainte-

nance procedures into a process. All technical data can be viewed from the measurements or exported as a PDF. ProCap can be easily retrofitted to many sys-

tems, as no additional hardware is required for it to work. The program is also compatible with Rehm’s ViCON software and designed as a service- client system. ProCap provides the option of moni-

toring all lines from a remote workstation. Contact: Rehm Thermal Systems, LLC, 3080

perature and viscosity with a circulat- ed pump unit. The system controls coating width with precision. The compact, space-saving de-

sign includes a combined drying (cur- ing) unit. The AI-TEC PCB system also includes an option for auto or manual changeover and width change, QR code reading and is server-commu- nication ready. Additional features in- clude dual-side coating, tilt, dual- head, jet-dispensing, and masking. The system is customizable depending on customer specifications. The system is 2.9 x 6.5 x 59.3 ft
