Visual cleans are simply not good enough in healthcare settings – only the highest standard of microbial cleaning and disinfection should be accepted. OspreyDeepClean want to equip cleaning operators with the right technology to make this happen.
The Steam & Vac Pro is the ultimate infection control tool - combining sanitising dry steam with an effective wet and dry vacuum cleaner, all in one machine.
No chemicals are used to achieve disinfection and with no chemicals required, there is no scope for antimicrobial resistance.
Cold tap water is heated to over 150°. The resultant steam contains less than 5% moisture and is therefore considered dry. This is important as microbial pathogens thrive in damp conditions. Steam particles can better penetrate surfaces to saturate invisible-to-the-eye soiling, which lifts it off, ready to be removed by the vacuum.
The integral water filtration system ensures allergens and pathogens are safely removed from surfaces with HEPA level filtration. HEPA level filtration, “high efficiency particulate air (filtration)" This type of filter can remove at least 99.97% of dust, pollen, mould, bacteria, and any airborne particles with a size of 0.3 microns (µm)
Scientifically validated
OspreyDeepClean has received the expert opinion from the Institut fuer Hygiene und Mikrobiologie (Institute for Hygiene and Microbiology) in Bremen, Germany, that the Steam & Vac Pro model achieves a greater than 5-log reduction against modified Ankara, based in EN 16615.
