About this Product/Service
The Pelsis Digital solution revolutionises pest monitoring by providing real-time data on flying insect activity. This proactive approach allows for immediate action against pest threats, shifting from reactive to proactive pest control. The system is able to detect and count the number of insects caught on a glue board within an Insect Light Trap (ILTs). These devices are incredibly efficient at attracting and removing them from the surrounding environment but by using Pelsis Digital within an ILT, the information gathered about pest activity on sites can be better utilised.
The app and web platform provide easy access to data, enabling facility managers and pest control professionals to make informed and quick decisions. For example, users can set their own thresholds for the number of insects caught in each ILT, if the number of insects exceed the threshold quick action can be taken to reduce the pest activity before it increases or spreads to other areas on site. This in turn will minimise chemical usage as pests will be treated at lower numbers, offering a more environmentally friendly approach to pest control.
