OFFICE GROUP CONTRACT AWARDED


TO PRINCIPLE Principle Cleaning Services has been awarded a new two-year cleaning services contract with The Office Group (TOG).


Principle was already a partner at a small number of TOG properties and has now added another 10 buildings


NEW HEAD FOR ISSA


FOUNDATION Worldwide cleaning industry association ISSA has announced the appointment of Mike Gies as Executive Director of the association’s philanthropic arm, the ISSA Foundation.


Gies has worked as an independent organisation and management consultant since 2007, serving both small proprietorships and billion-dollar global organisations. His roles have involved financial analysis, strategic planning, brand management, leadership cultivation and major fundraising campaign support.


In his new role, Gies will ensure the charitable division of ISSA has a comprehensive strategy to further expand its reach and better achieve its mission of ‘Investing in Tomorrow’. This includes building new long-term partnerships and developing and executing plans for the foundation’s organisation, operations, and growing its programs. He will also work

to its portfolio as a result of this tender exercise.


The contract includes daily cleaning, housekeeping, specialist cleaning and window cleaning, and includes management of washroom, waste and recycling services.


Johan Marais, Contracts Manager at TOG, said: “Principle has fully embraced TOG culture since the first day of our partnership. The account team work hard to understand the

Gies added: “I look forward to growing the ISSA Foundation by partnering with the large and growing ISSA constituency, and through the foundation’s charitable programs, contributing to ISSA’s mission to ‘Change the Way the World Views Cleaning’.”

STAR PLATFORMS SHORTLISTED FOR


HIRE AWARD UK powered access company Star Platforms has been shortlisted for the 2018 HAE/EHA ‘Hire Awards of Excellence’ Plant, Tool & Equipment Hire Company of the Year (up to £10 million turnover) award.


Award categories are judged by a panel of independent judges and were announced at London’s Grosvenor House Hotel on 28 April 2018.


Richard Miller, Star Platforms’ Joint Managing Director, commented: “The shortlisting for the prestigious ‘Hire Awards of Excellence’ awards 2018 is recognition of the excellent progress Star Platforms has made over the last year.
