Laboratory Products 45 Colour Coded Labels and Variable Data

Fine Cut Group’s durable label materials offer a range of easy to recognise sample ID or product ID labels by introducing colour to your labels helping differentiate and distinguish between different groups of work. Using colour coded labels on products is a cost-effective route to improving effi ciency and eradicating errors in handling and processing.

Fine Cut Group can provide part printed labels in colour which will let you print the variable data in house using either thermal transfer printers or laser printers. Or you can send your variable data in, and the company can print both the colour indicator and data.

Fine Cut Group’s bureau facility prints millions of barcodes a year and all data is validated prior to shipping. 1D or 2D codes can be supplied with or without human readable text, batched in sequence, ready for you to take directly from the shelf and use on your product.

Labels are available in sheet or roll format and can be supplied with either a peelable adhesive for glass bottles or a permanent adhesive for storage in fridge or freezers. Labels offer superior tolerance against smudging during handling and can be stored in temperatures as low as -196C. More information online: ilmt.co/PL/kLYD

Compact and Convenient Gel Documentation System

Now available from Alpha Laboratories, the new gelLITE gel documentation system is a compact and convenient system for documentation of agarose gels and stained protein gels.

A 302nm UV transilluminator enables imaging of large format agarose gels or stained protein gels up to 20 x 20 cm, and can slide out from the main body of the system allowing gel extraction of DNA fragments.

The gelLITE gel documentation system provides complete control with its manually controlled camera zoom and focus. The 5 Megapixel camera also gives excellent low light sensitivity for clear resolution of closely spaced DNA bands and ensures even low levels of fl uorescence are detected.

Included free of charge is the intuitive genePIX acquisition software which enables a fast and effi cient workfl ow. Additionally, the geneQUANT analysis software features automated lane and band detection, and pre-loaded DNA ladder standards for simple quantifi cation and automated report creation.

Optional converters are also available - blue light converters for safe DNA extraction and reduced DNA damage, and white light converters for enhanced contrast of visible protein stains.

The gelLITE gel documentation system offers an economic and effective solution for agarose gel imaging, perfect in a GLP environment. More information online: ilmt.co/PL/1pmO

Laboratory Applications The Huber Petite Fleur models are the smallest dynamic temperature control systems in the Unistat range. They are designed for highly accurate temperature control of small research reactors. As all Unistats,

the Petite Fleur models have unique thermodynamic properties.

The Petite Fleur models reach operating temperatures of -40°C to +200°C and offer a refrigeration capacity of 480 W (with full pump capacity acc. to DIN 12876). With a capacity of up to 25 l/min, the circulation pump provides for optimum heat transmission. Delicate glass reactors are protected from damage with the soft start-up, and changes in the viscosity within the fl uid circuit are compensated for.

The Petite Fleur is equipped with the brilliant 5.7” touchscreen controller Pilot ONE and the E-grade ‘Professional’ extended functionality. This means that the Petite Fleur comprises by default all functions required for demanding temperature control jobs - such as TAC cascade control, programmer, graphic display, calibration programs, and USB, Ethernet and RS232 interfaces.

To demonstrate the performance of the Unistat range over 200 case studies have been carried out. They show the Unistats unique ability to adapt to process requirements, offering precise stability and control. Go to ilmt.co/PL/y3pE to learn more.

Minichiller Range Many technical applications depend on a reliable cooling solution. Huber Minichillers are the ideal solution for environmentally friendly and economical cooling in laboratory and industry. There are several air- and water-cooled

models available, with cooling powers from 0.28 to 0,9 kW. Effi cient energy management in all Huber chillers ensures low operating costs and a quick return on investment.

The compact Minichiller is designed as a space saving tower and with a footprint of just 225 x 360 mm the Huber Minichiller takes up less bench space than many laptops. With a temperature range from -25°C to +40°C and cooling capacity of up to 900 watts at 15°C, Minichillers are ideal for cooling reaction blocks, vapour traps, vacuum pump condensers, rotary evaporators or heat exchangers, supplying predictable and correct pressure, fl ow and temperature to applications resulting in tangible process effi ciencies. Because the Minichiller’s internal volume is only 2 litres, it eliminates the risk of fl ooding in the laboratory. This allows the process to be run unattended further increasing effi ciency.

The chillers are now available with the new OLÉ controller. The units combine state of the art technology with simple operation. OLÉ models are suitable for routine tasks in research and industry and are convincing as practice oriented basic equipment. They are equipped with USB and RS232 interfaces as standard and have a bright, large OLED display. A Pt100 sensor connection to display (not control) e.g. the process temperature is available as Option.

All Huber Chillers are designed for non-supervised permanent operation at ambient temperatures of up to +40°C. The models are equipped with a circulating and suction pump for best fl ow rates.
