New ETO sensor with reduced CO cross- sensitivity
MEMBRAPOR introduces a new sensor for ethylene oxide, the ETO/CA-10. It exhibits a signifi cantly reduced cross-sensitivity to carbon monoxide. This
new type enables selective measurements of ETO concentrations in applications where small amounts of CO are present, e.g. due to vehicle traffi c. Ethylene oxide gas is widely used as a sterilization agent for diverse applications.

Over time many customers did inquire about gas caps not only suiting standard (3-series) sensors, but especially suiting the more up to date compact (7-series) sensors. As the market didn’t offer any, we decided to newly design transparent gas caps for compact sensors, which allow a controlled gas application. We introduce three different gas caps, whereas two are specially designed to be used in combination with our electronics:
GasCap/C is an accessory kit for the gas application to a Compact gas sensor (Pin layout: 7-series) for general applications.
GasCap/C_AFE is an accessory kit for the gas application to a Compact gas sensor with the analog front end (AFE) attached to. This gas cap holds sensor and electronics together to form a fi xed unit.
GasCap/C_Transmitter is an accessory kit for the gas application to a Compact gas sensor that is mounted on the 4-20 mA transmitter board. This gas cap holds sensor and electronics together to form a fi xed unit.
For Slim and Standard sensors, the GasCapKit/S will also be available further on.

MEMBRAPOR has further improved the highly selective NO2
/CA-2 sensor for NO2 air quality
measurements. The sensitivity could be almost doubled, allowing resolution of even lower concentrations in the ppb range. The sensor incorporates the proven catalytic O3 fi lter, which eliminates the otherwise typical O3 cross- sensitivity of electrochemical NO2 addition, the NO2
sensors. In
for measuring ranges up to 20 ppm. More information online:

New hydrogen-compensated carbon monoxide sensor in 5-series format
with extended lifetime is ideal for harsh environmental conditions MEMBRAPOR provides a vast array of different electrochemical gas sensors for more than 25 gases in a variety of housings. They have recently announced the launch of the new Vantage series, with the same dimensions as 5-series sensors.
The new housing has been developed thanks to the fi nest engineering and over a quarter of a century of gas sensor experience. The sensor has been designed to operate in the harshest conditions, such as environments with high humidities and temperatures as high as 60 °C.
The fi rst sensor with Vantage housing is a CO sensor for use in fl ue gas/stack gas analysis; this is an H2-compensated, 4-electrode sensor with virtually no sensitivity to CO on the auxiliary electrode. Moreover, its temperature dependence can be kept fl at, resulting in exceptionally precise ppm readings.
MEMBRAPOR sensors are renowned for lasting for many years and the new Vantage housing offers the additional advantage of featuring a replaceable fi lter. While a typical CO sensor will typically last for three or more years, the fi lter itself has a signifi cantly lower lifespan. Once used up, nitric gases, such as NO2
, can pass through, resulting in false negative signals. This is a dangerous situation; the resulting ppm reading may be far
too low with respect to the current concentration of CO. In many applications, a fi lter has an approximate lifespan of 2 years, which is effectively the limit for critical measurement applications. Replacing the fi lter of Membrapor’s CO/VF-2000-4E can more than double the lifetime of the sensor.
