Innovative Pipetting Technology Celebrates 50th Anniversary
Hirschmann will celebrate a notable anniversary in 2014 to mark 50 years of use of Hirschmann products in laboratories around the world. The pipetus®
product family will be
supplemented by a special edition to mark the anniversary year.
pipetus® combines many years of
experience, innovative technology and superior-quality materials. Charging and dispensing of the medium is realised at the press of a button. Exact meniscus confi guration is enabled through fi ne dispensing valves with valve pins made of ceramic compound. The valves are free of wear and offer maximum chemical resistance.
The integrated colour display shows the pipetting mode, speed levels and charging status of the battery. Battery charging is realised without contacts and controlled by a microprocessor in an inductive charging station. The sophisticated ergonomic shape of the pipetus®
aids non-fatiguing work.
A number of additional benefi ts are included: the colour display on top of the unit provides clear, reliable and comprehensive information on all unit confi gurations; provides up to a week of continuous pipetting; fi ve pipetting speed ranges can be selected separately for fi lling and venting; the pump motor is free of vibration; suitable for measuring, volumetric and Pasteur pipettes, from 0.1 ml to 200 ml; the seat of all pipettes is sealed absolutely tight with a silicon adapter.

Made of durable and corrosion resistant white polypropylene, this 40-place rack has a top shelf height of 3.4cm (1⅓”). The end plates have handles for easy transport and stacking. It is steam autoclavable at 121°C (250°F) and measures 26.0cmL x 11.3cmW x 10.5cmH (10½ x 4½ x 4⅛”).
