Automated Synthesiser Boosts Discovery and Optimisation
Zinsser-Analytic and Thales Nano have teamed up to develop a highly flexible automated synthesiser which combines many functions on one platform.
Sophas Hy utilises the functionality of Zinssers proven Sophas Synthesiser, such as liquid handling, heating, cooling and mixing, in line with the continuous flow chemistry reactor H-Cube by Thales Nano, allowing the full automation of sample preparation, batch and flow chemistry.
T&D Corporation has introduced its new free WebStorage Service. WebStorage is an online service. The service offers the convenience of sharing recorded data via the Internet.
The WebStorage Service is a multi-faceted Internet based service provided at no cost by T&D, which enables users to make even more effective use of the data generated by their Data Loggers.
It is possible to set up any T&D compatible products such as the RTR-500 or RTR-500GSM Data Collectors to send data via FTP to the WebStorage Service. The service then allows users to view the transmitted current readings in graph form via their browser and also includes a function to store and download recorded data from the compatible units as illustrated in the graphic below.

Consolidating Specialist Cardiac Testing
With the FT series, Julabo offers Immersion Coolers with a temperature range down to -90°C. The Immersion Coolers are an easy and economical alternative to dry-ice. Immersion Coolers are also used for cooling tasks in combination with heating circulators and baths to achieve sub-ambient temperatures or to replace tap- water-cooling. This product series includes five models, with temperature ranges down to –90°C and cooling capacities of up to 450 watts. The models FT402 and FT902 feature an LED display for temperature indication, temperature control (temperature stability ±0.5 & ±1.0°C resp. using an Pt100 external sensor), a splash-proofed keypad for easy operation as well as an external Pt100 sensor for temperature control and measurement. All units are equipped with carrying handles or castors.

Siemens Healthcare Diagnostics has introduced ADVIA®
Chemistry CardioPhase™ hsCRP assay,
consolidating specialist cardiac testing onto routine high throughput analysis. The assay is qualified for independent cardiac risk assessment as well as cardiac risk stratification. The results exhibit excellent correlation and similar performance to the industry gold standard method, which is the Siemens BNII™ Nephelometer.
“The availability of this specialist cardiac marker on routine chemistry offers advanced patient care through a convenient and fast hsCRP provision, with maximum confidence in the results,” said Ibti Rashid, Product Manager for Clinical Chemistry and Automation at Siemens Healthcare Diagnostics.
CardioPhase hsCRP is now available on a broad range of solutions from Siemens, including options for chemistry and immunology laboratories as well as point of care settings.

Julabo’s digital SW22 and SW23 Shaking Water Baths have a temperature range from 20°C to 99.9°C. The built in circulation pump allows for more precise temperature stability and uniformity. Up to 2000 watts of heating power and PID control ensures temperature stability of ±0.02°C. Included are high and low temperature warning functions, a built-in timer and RS232 interface. The bath opening (51 x 30 x 18 cm) accommodates many different types of racks and trays. Shaking frequency is adjustable from 20 rpm to 200 rpm, or can be switched off entirely.
