Autocalves Get the Edge
Astell are now fitting their world class LogiColor controller to all their autoclaves from the smallest 30L Benchtop units to the largest Square Section models.
The Astell LogiColor controller provides the precision, accuracy and flexibility that are essential in today's most demanding medical and laboratory environments. The integral PLC combines with a variety of analogue and digital input/output modules to provide a range of standard features including cycle selection, cycle progress, temperature and pressure displays, timed start and auto start facilities, timed safety valve testing and fault display.
The operator interface is a wipe-clean, full colour touch screen, with a multi-lingual icon based operating system. The system is password protected and has multiple access levels. An integral flash card provides continuous data archiving and sterilisation cycle records can be printed for validation purposes.
The control software has been developed by Astell's in-house design team, based on the company’s 80 years experience in autoclave manufacture. The Astell range meets all current standards including the requirements of the Medical Devices Directive 93/42/EEC and Pressure Equipment Directive EN/97/23/EC.

Waterless Eco-Friendly Laboratory Water Bath
Lab Armor™ is introducing the new Bead Bath™, a waterless alternative to contamination- prone traditional laboratory water baths. The waterless Bead Bath is designed from the ground up, delivering exceptional temperature uniformity while eliminating a major source of contamination in laboratories - water.
The Bead Bath is always on, ready for the next experiment, so scientists don’t have to plan around warm-up times. There is also no burn out risk because there is no water to evaporate. The Bead Bath keeps samples organised, naturally holding vessels in place without the need for racks, floats and bottleneck weights.
Vessels that can be used with the Bead Bath are not limited to watertight containers. Scientists can safely incubate multi-well plates, petri dishes, and open-top samples at any angle.
Traditional water baths must be routinely monitored, cleaned, refilled and maintained with harmful germicides. The Bead Bath is practically maintenance free, providing scientists with more time for science.
In addition, Lab Armor Beads can be used to replace water in existing water baths, aluminum blocks in dry baths and even ice in ice buckets. These innovative beads can also be used in containers placed in ovens and incubators to replace sample racks.
The Lab Armor Bead Bath’s thermal uniformity is: 37°C ±0.5°C and 65°C ±1.0°C with a temperature range of 5°C above ambient to 80°C. Lab Armor Beads support a wide temperature range of -100°C to +400°C in laboratory equipment.

Wind is a matter of location. Except with Binder. Only a Binder guarantees constant and gentle circulation of air through large-surface side walls even under a full load. With the
APT.line™ (Advanced Preheating Technology) designation, Binder KBF | KBF P | KBF LQC und KMF climate chambers provide high-precision and fast-acting preheating chamber technology.
The new microsite from Binder
www.binder-elements.com offers a quick overview of the Binder constant climate chambers: from the specialist in stability testing (Binder KBF) to the chamber with illumination cassettes for photostability testing (Binder KBF P) and additional photometry (Binder KMF LQC) to stress testing at -10 °C to 100 °C in a Binder KMF, no area is left uncovered.

www.binder-elements.com Circle no. 118 Binder CB 53 with Divided Inner Glass Door
Effective immediately, the Binder CB 53 is available with a new optional feature: a 4-section inner glass door. This gas- tight inner glass door vastly improves the organisation of samples inside the chamber. This is particularly useful when several users in the laboratory have to access the same incubator, because they can now each have a specific area where their samples are located. This clear segregation of areas also helps prevent accidental mix-up of samples. The
effects from opening the door are minimised, which shortens recovery times. Gas usage is also reduced, since the smaller openings keep the atmosphere within the incubator more stable and allow less gas to escape. Because of the homogenous gas distribution, cell specimens experience less stress and the specified parameters can be maintained precisely, while still providing maximum usable space within the chamber. An organised and safe design to ensure optimum cell growth conditions.

From One Source – Binder Data Logger Kits the Package is Rounded
The Binder Data Logger Kits can record the temperature and humidity data of Binder equipment. This finely tuned product solution also contains useful accessories for mounting the Logger Kit onto the Binder unit, including cable bushings and a sensor mounting bracket. In addition, special Data Logger software, including data cables for data configuration and evaluation, can be ordered as an option with all Binder Data Logger Kits. The Binder Logger Kits can be ordered by now. With this product option the whole package is rounded and offers therefore the optimum solution, e.g., of the KBF for the area of the pharmaceutical tests. Now all components - from one source - can be delivered by Binder.
