treats

For health, reward and fun.

Abbey Is Our World.

Einstein Pets has partnered with professional photogra- pher Adam Goldberg to use their treats during his photo shoots with dogs. His project of photographing shelter dogs, The Fundraiser Road Trip, will visit cities up and down the Eastern United States to raise money for shelters. As a sponsor, Einstein Treats will be the exclusive dog treat.

Kelly Ison may be the driving force behind Einstein Pets, but it’s Abbey, a West Highland Terrier, who provides the ongoing inspiration. Kelly and her husband Robert co-founded Einstein Pets, a Sarasota-based dog treat manufacturer about a year after adopting Abbey. “Like many Westies, Abbey has a sensitive system and requires a special diet. We just wanted to give her a treat that was good for her,” said Kelly, who has a background in consumer marketing with international companies such as Nielsen Holdings and Bloomin’ Brands.

and branding before the Isons felt comfortable enough to take their product to market.

“Out of the gate, we decided it was a business,” said Kelly. What sets Einstein Pets apart is the customer service

the Isons give their wholesale clients. For example, sample product is provided, so the store owner does not have to break into a bag. “We know the only way our wholesale clients are going to come back is if we are good to them,” said Ison. The couple also introduced a minimum advertised

price policy. “The new policy further supports the independent pet specialty retailer who sells Einstein Pets’ products, and will ensure a level playing field for author- ized sellers,” said Kelly. “It’s all about people and pets.” The company name is a nod to the Westies’ natural

intelligence. The logo is modeled after Abbey’s likeness. For a store locator and more information, visit EinsteinPets.com
