IN THE SPOTLIGHT: CREATIVE INDUSTRIES

WALL COVERINGS WILL BRING THE OUTDOORS IN

Large format printers Pumpkin Sign and Display have launched a more specialised and targeted range to address the varying opportunities that the growing interiors marketplace has to offer. They already

offer a digitally printed wall covering suitable for all types of applications where the requirement is for full colour imagery. This high-performance

‘THE CHOICE IS ENDLESS WITH NO BOUNDARIES TO YOUR

IMAGINATION’

material can also be used to refresh and update the look of tired reception desks, counters and furniture without going to the expense of replacing them to achieve a similar look and feel. Managing director Simon Platt

said: “Alongside the digital products we now offer some really, cutting edge materials that can transform the look of any interior space, fixture or fitting by using a similar product and procedure to the well- established vehicle wrapping market. The range is huge and varied and not only offers a look it can also offer a feel and texture and, in

some cases, a smell! “We are really excited

to be introducing an organic, natural surface covering

that not only looks and feels like something produced by Mother Nature it actually is produced by her and duly offers subtle fragrances such as Alpine hay, refreshing lemon, sweet rose, lavender or stimulating coffee.

“Add to this the more traditional

industrial metal, timber, brick and stone finishes or the more glamorous and ‘blingy’ look of precious metals, gemstones and fabric and you can see the choice is

endless with no boundaries to your imagination.”

FLYING THE FLAG FOR SUSTAINABILITY

A firm which supplies and maintains flags, banners and displays has launched a 100% carbon neutral delivery and installation service as part of its range. In a world that is now gripped by the challenge of

sustainability, the pressures on business to provide viable solutions to its clients is growing. Zephyr, in response to this question, has invested in

its first 100% electric vehicle, with the aim of offering its clientele the option of carbon neutral transportation combined with zero packaging. Sales director Simeon Skey said: “While this would

not be ideal for many businesses, the lightweight flag and pole products Zephyr produces make this a realistic solution to provide. “Our Tesla model 3 arrived in January 2020 and has

already completed its first assignment, the installation of 76 national flags that fill the auditorium in the European Bank of Reconstruction and Development. Two members of our logistics team drove them down to London, installed them on site and

returned to our Northamptonshire base to complete our first carbon neutral installation job. “We also worked in conjunction with University of Northampton students, who came down on the day to take video and photographs and have produced a promotional video for both ourselves and the bank to utilise. “It is our aim to add another two vehicles to the

service this year, subject to trading conditions. We feel this is a genuine contribution to meet the market’s needs and make a difference.”
