BUSINESS REPORT
NEW LOCATION, NEW OUTLOOK
Having lived in Northumberland, Jill Scarr now finds herself in Northamptonshire and expanding her coaching and personal development business, Creative Impact Coaching, into a new geographical location. Coaching isn’t just about talking through issues and working
together to find solutions. It is also exploring why you are encountering barriers in moving forward to achieve both personal and business goals. In business, we have to be analytical and organised and for some people this is where they thrive. However, thinking like this can
prevent us from seeing an issue or problem from a different perspective, which often leads to repeating the same behaviours which in turn, does not lead to innovation. Taking clients outdoors and getting them to observe the landscape, listen to the birds or the sound of the sea, touch the leaves, look at a seashell in detail, smell the grass or flowers gives them the headspace to see things differently and with more clarity, away from the confines of their place of work and daily distractions. A walk unlocks so many ideas and sharing the Northamptonshire countryside with clients can help break down the barriers and help them attain their goals.
