CELEBRATION FOR ESTATE AGENTS
A firm cited as one of the best estate agents in Northamptonshire is celebrating a landmark anniversary. Jackson-Stops has been trading from the same office in
Bridge Street, Northampton, for 100 years. The founder of the firm, Herbert Stops opened his first
office in Towcester in 1910 at the age of 26 before relocating to 20 Bridge Street 10 years later. Jackson-Stops marketing, social media and administration
officer Jodie Hampson said: “The first landmark sale handled by the new office at the time was The Ducal Estate of Stowe, and the contents of the mansion, on behalf of the Dukes of Buckingham and Chandos. The contents sale took 18 days with a total of 3,833 lots. “From one office in Northampton the firm has grown to
become a renowned national firm with professionalism, honesty and integrity at its core. “Adopting a philosophy of embracing the latest technology
over the decades has enabled the firm to not only survive but thrive and the current team of professionals in the office remain committed to serving and providing the best advice to property owners in the county.” The firm specialises in the sale of quality property in Northamptonshire and the surrounding counties. It also sells new homes for both local and national developers and as well as residential sales it offers a range of professional services provided by chartered surveyors, including formal valuations. To complement its residential sales department it has a lettings department and offers a full range of residential lettings and management.
