BUSINESS REPORT
MARREN IS HEATING UP THE INDUSTRY
A firm that has more than 30 years of experience in microwave ovens and accelerated cooking technology has won a string of awards. Marren is based in Earls Barton
and is widely recognised as the UK leader in service and support in the industry. Last year, the firm won three
major industry awards – The Service and Maintenance Specialist of the Year at the FEJ (Foodservice Equipment Journal) Awards, the Training and Development Award at the CSEA Conference and the Service and Maintenance Provider of the Year at the Catering Insight Awards. The firm believes the recognition
it has received is down to its willingness to invest across the business. Operations director Malcolm Skinner said: “The fact our
customers and suppliers voted for us in two out of the three awards just proves we must be doing something right. Thank you to all those who did vote and to our great team who deliver such a valuable service.” Looking ahead to this year,
Marren is launching its own branded microwave, backed by a three-year onsite warranty and with access to a nationwide network of Marren service engineers. Business development manager
Kelly Barrell added: “As a service specialist we understand the cost of spare parts, which is why it was important for us to launch a product that was cost effective, particularly for replacement parts. As we enter a new decade, sustainability must be an important factor for us all to consider.”
