ONE TEAM TO HANDLE SAFETY

A Northampton-based firm is working hard with firms across the county to make sure they are running safe events. One Team Event Safety Management owner Jonathan Hill has worked in event safety for more than 20 years and has experience of working on a variety of different events with varying crowd sizes. Jonathan believes passionately

that good event safety is delivered through collaboration and teamwork. He said: “As an event organiser

you are legally responsible for the health and safety at your event. For some this can be something that they are happy to take in their stride. For others it is a very daunting prospect and they are not sure where to start. “This is where we have helped so

many businesses because we are experts in health and safety, and we also have a background in event safety. We answer event organisers’ questions and help them put together an event safety plan, risk assessments, traffic management

plan and everything else that is safety-related. Depending on the size of event this could include an anti-terrorism and major incident plans. “We’ve helped firms draw up

their terms and conditions for entry, can advise on first aid requirements and help firms demonstrate they are meeting their legal requirements.”
