Tucker, will be joined on stage by an all singing, all dancing West End ensemble and the London Concert Orchestra to perform numbers made famous by one of the greatest movie icons of all time. Songs to be showcased include: ‘Over The

hosted by Good Morning Britain’s Richard Arnold, who will look back on Judy Garland’s remarkable career. The Music of Judy comes to Birmingham Symphony Hall on Friday 22 May.

February 2020 CHAMBERLINK 43 (pictured) has picked up the

coveted Conductor Award at the 2019 Royal Philharmonic Society (RPS) Awards. The RPS Awards, which

celebrate the best of classical music, were presented at a star- studded event at Battersea Arts Centre. The awards marked their 30th

anniversary in 2019 and are presented in association with BBC Radio 3. Mirga has also just received her

first Grammy nomination for her debut recording with Deutsche Grammophon. Born in Vilnius, Mirga was

named music director of the CBSO in February 2016, following in the footsteps of Sir Simon Rattle, Sakari Oramo and Andris Nelsons. She is currently leading the

orchestra into their centenary year, with a series of special programming, events, commissions and initiatives that take inspiration from the orchestra’s past and look forward to the future of classical music. In February, Mirga made history

by becoming the first female conductor to sign an exclusive long-term contract with Deutsche Grammophon, home to legendary conductors such as Herbert von Karajan, Claudio Abbado, Pierre Boulez and Andris Nelsons.
