Dr. Dale Kaplan-Stein, Jessica Plunkard and Dr. Natalie Isaza.
We met Jessica Plunkard, a DVM/MPH candidate from the Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine during our visit to St. Francis Pet Care. She was spending a month at the clinic for an internship, during which time she learned how the clinic and outreach facilities func- tion. She also researched where the clinic’s clients reside so that more outreach programs could be developed. She compiled a list of the most common medical issues the clinic was seeing. “It was the experience of a lifetime,” said Jessica.
