THE CHAMBER’S ANNUAL CHRISTMAS LUNCH It may seem early in the year to be thinking about the festive season but it’s never too early to get a head start. With that in mind, the highlight of the Leicestershire business calendar, the Chamber’s Annual Christmas Lunch, has been confirmed for 2019. Taking place on Friday 6 December, at Athena

STATE OF THE ECONOMY CONFERENCE 2019 Taking place on Thursday 14 November at the UK headquarters of major retailer Sports Direct in Shirebrook, the conference brings together businesses from across the East Midlands to focus on economic performance and prospects for the region. The conference is a great opportunity to engage

with leading economic analysts, political representatives and prominent regional business- leaders to gain a better understanding of the strategic economic vision for the East Midlands. It will also be an opportunity to discuss the key challenges which face the region’s economy, touching on those that come with a post-Brexit environment. Through a series of keynote speakers and expert

panels, the latest intelligence and projections for the regional and national economy will be examined. New and bold proposals for regional infrastructure which will enhance the competitiveness of the region will be discussed, as well as the political and economic levers required to support them. The conference aims to provide Westminster with

compelling messages on behalf of the regional community about what still needs to be done surrounding infrastructure priorities, SME support and the implications of Brexit.

Conference & Banqueting, the event will kick off the festive season with style. The informal atmosphere makes it one of our biggest social networking opportunities throughout the events calendar; the perfect place to entertain colleagues, clients and guests and to network with businesses from across the East Midlands. This year’s lunch entertainment will take a comedic

spin, with comedian, musician and social commentator, Micky P. Kerr, performing at the event. Micky is a familiar face to the industry, appearing on Britain’s Got Talent in 2018, where he proved to be a huge hit with the public and the judges, making making it all the way to the final. Micky now performs all over the UK, recently completing his first solo tour, Z List Celebrity. Last year’s event was a huge success and attracted

over 350 attendees from organisations across our three counties – the Annual Christmas Lunch 2019 is forecast to match it. Want to be a sponsor? With a growing digital reach, alongside coverage in Business Network magazine and a host of other benefits, the Chamber can offer bespoke packages to ensure that you meet your business objectives.

If you would like to discuss how you could benefit from supporting an event, such as the above, or would like to know more about sponsoring any of our events, please contact Sanjib Sahota, Commercial Partnerships Manager on 07776 596889.
