Marathon man Andrew gears up for charity challenge

One of the founders of business development and coaching consultancy ActionCoach Leicester & Nottingham is taking on a double marathon challenge for charity. Andrew McGunnigle (pictured), a

business growth specialist at the business, also known as Team Brilliant, swapped his business suit for his tracksuit over the summer to train for the Robin Hood Half Marathon, in Nottingham, and the Leicester Half Marathon. He is taking part in the events to

raise cash for two charities, the NSPCC and Hope Against Cancer. His Team Brilliant colleague, Dev

Popat, is acting as his unofficial training partner and will also be providing support at the events as a volunteer marshal during both runs.

Founded in 2018, ActionCoach

Leicester & Nottingham is a business development and coaching consultancy which works with a range of SMEs and charitable organisations to help them realise their full potential and achieve their business and personal goals.

Andrew and fellow founder

Louise Jones provide clients with a fresh perspective, direction and focus to help them move their business to the next level. They help business owners to

define and achieve their short, medium and long-term objectives by ensuring the right processes and structures are in place to encourage growth. They also help organisations to identify and exploit new

opportunities and develop lasting relationships with customers and other stakeholders. Andrew said: “I was extremely

apprehensive when I was volunteered by my colleagues to do these two half-marathons because I am a complete novice and have never done any serious running before. But I have really enjoyed the training and pushing myself to

achieve these goals, along with helping to raise some money for two fantastic charities in the process. “As business coaches, a key part

of what we do at Team Brilliant is working with our amazing clients to get them believing in themselves and realising that anything is possible if they work for it. “That mindset has stood me in

good stead as I gear up for these two events and attempt to do something I’ve never done before.”
