Pickerings gains CCS accreditation
Pickerings, one of the UK’s fastest-growing providers of modular buildings and portable cabins, has been accredited as a registered supplier with the Considerate Constructors Scheme (CCS). The firm is one of only a small number of suppliers in the portable buildings industry that are registered with CCS. As part of the accreditation, several Pickerings locations were independently assessed by experienced professionals to check they were conforming to the CCS Code of Considerate Practice, designed to encourage best practice beyond statutory requirements. Pickerings scored highly in the assessments at all the locations that were
monitored. CCS is an independent organisation founded by the construction industry
to improve its image. The scheme is nationally recognised and endorsed by local authorities, the Government, main contractors and major industry clients. It covers the following categories: care about appearance, secure
everyone’s safety, value their workforce, respect the community, and protect the environment.
