Purbeck to Christchurch From Dorchester to the Isle of Purbeck the towns, villages and hamlets have their own idiosyncrasies, anomalies and attractions, to appreciate the area a tour will not disappoint. Take a look at Moreton to see St. Nicholas Church with its etched glass windows and Moreton Gardens, just south of the village are the tranquil Tadnoll and Winfrith Heaths.
The Jubilee Trail, Lawrence Trail and Lawrence Cycle Ride pass through Moreton. Nearby Clouds Hill was the home of Lawrence of Arabia. The Lawrence Trail starts at the Tank Museum and follows the history of T.E. Lawrence.
Going toward the coast Winfrith Newburgh and Chaldon Herring (also known as East Chaldon) are two small villages in the south west of Purbeck, close to the Purbeck Way West linking Winfrith Newburgh to Coombe Keynes and Wareham to the east, with West Lulworth, Lulworth Castle and Lulworth Cove to the south.
