Milborne Port When it had its own mint this was one of the most important towns in Somerset. Attractive local old buildings include the market hall, Guildhall, the church and fives wall.

Wincanton Impressive to visit, with its interesting Museum, busy country market, elegant Georgian houses, coaching inns, and the Discworld Empo-rium, stocking all of the late T. Pratchet works.
For the sports minded there is Wincanton Races, racquet sports, the sports centre’s pool (open to visitors), 9 and 18 hole golf courses and fishing in lakes and rivers.
If you are a keen cyclist, you can explore the South Somerset countryside, and it is just a short drive to the Moldrams Nature Reserve.
