Manned entirely by volunteers, THE VALIANT SOLDIER functions as a local information centre when open, and is available for group bookings.


The museum collects photographic and aural information. They have an exhibition and are currently showing a World War 1 display.


The town has a long and important history in the wool trade.

For a fantastic day out visit TOTNES RARE BREEDS FARM! A family owned attraction small enough to provide a friendly and personal service, but with enough to keep its visitors occupied and happy all day.


Once you have found this secret haven, getting here becomes very obvious. If it is your first visit and you are ever unsure please follow the signs all the way to South Devon Railway (there are many) as the farm is adjacent to its platform and there are joint tickets for the railway.
