West Cornwall spans from Falmouth to Land’s End. This stunningly beautiful area has ancient heritage, remarkable rock formations, landscapes and coastal views, smuggling and wrecking history along with tales of murder and deception.

Home to the Cornish Mining World Heritage Site, the Minack Theatre carved into the cliffs, and Mounts Bay (Penzance) with the medieval castle of St Michaels Mount and the old fishing villages of Newlyn and Mousehole. There is something for everyone in West Cornwall.

Places to visit in Falmouth include the National Maritime Museum with a collection of boats, stories of explorers and an observation window to explore under the water. Close to the National Maritime Museum is the iconic TRAGO MILLS. Pendennis Castle and WWII defences and the Discovery Centre where visitors get to grips with history. The Falmouth Art Gallery for special exhibitions.

The Kimberly Park Municipal Garden for its ornamental trees and flower beds. Things to do include exploring the Fal River Estuary (Garrick Roads) on the ferries that criss-cross the water connecting Falmouth with the charming harbour town of St Mawes and the city of Truro. There are many nearby interesting villages including Mylor with its quay containing shops, restaurants and boating leisure activities, also Budock with its golf course and hotel, both are within a few miles of Falmouth. For all water-sports equipment WEST COUNTRY WATERSPORTS at Mylor is the shop to head for.

Going from Falmouth toward the Lizard there are many very picturesque villages to visit, such as Constantine and Mawgan where there are footpaths to creeks such as Port Navas or Polwheveral. Going north from Mawnan Smith leads to the lush gardens of Penjerrick or south to the subtropical gardens at Glendurgan and Trebah. Take a stroll along the shore of Durgan, or simply pass an idle hour at Helford Passage watching the passing boats. At the Argal and College Waterpark there is good coarse fishing, a variety of water sports, plus amenities with picnic and safe play areas.

WESTCOUNTRY WATERSPORTS are Cornwall’s leading water- sports retailer, with over twenty years of trading. We remain at the forefront of many developing watersports including, windsurng, kitesurng, and more recently, Stand Up Paddle boarding (S.U.P). Situated in the picturesque seng of Mylor Yacht Harbour, just o from Falmouth’s scenic dal estuary, the Carrick Roads, it is perfect place for all water-sports enthu- siasts to enjoy.
