Top Leicester influencer joins Blueprint Interiors


New MD and senior team at Abellio


Will Rogers (pictured) has been appointed as Managing Director of the latest Abellio franchise, East Midlands Railway. He arrived in August following a


spell as managing director of Arriva Rail London, operator of London Overground, where he led the successful mobilisation of the concession and its first three years of operation. Previously at CrossCountry, Will


held various roles including Head of Fleet and Engineering and Production Director responsible for day-to-day service delivery. In his time in the rail industry he


has worked with manufacturers such as Alstom, Bombardier and Siemens, transport authorities such as TfL and DfT, financiers, operators, advisers, maintainers and the Office of Rail and Road. EMR’s new executive team will


comprise Deputy Managing Director Julian Edwards, Finance Director Tim Gledhill, Operations Director Darren Ward, Commercial Director Lawrence Bowman, Customer Services Director Neil Grabham, Fleet Director Chris Wright, Transition & Projects Director Lisa Angus, HSSE Director Paul Rushton and Human Resources Director Kirsty Derry.


Workplace consultant and interior fit-out specialist Blueprint Interiors has appointed Ian Guyler, one of Leicester’s ‘Top 200 Influential People’ in business, as non-Executive Director. His appointment follows a


period of successful growth for the Chamber Patron, which this year has been shortlisted for four business awards, which includes winning the Innovation in Construction category at the Leicestershire Live Innovation Awards 2019. Mr Guyler has been ranked in


the top 200 influential business people in Leicester for the last four years on the back of his work as a consultant and non-exec to many local businesses. He is chair of the Lord


Taverners Charity in the East Midlands and is a former board member of The Foxes Trust. He also catalysed the Team Leicestershire private sector presence at MIPIM from 2015 to 2017. In his role with Blueprint, he


will be helping the senior management team to develop and implement a long-term strategy to grow the business profitably beyond £5m turnover. Blueprint’s Operations Director,

Advisers add experienced business growth expert


A highly-experienced business growth expert has been welcomed to the Leicester office of financial and business adviser Grant Thornton. Jimmy Mark takes on the role of a Growth Adviser


within the firm’s award-winning specialist growth support service. He will draw on his extensive knowledge of the business world, built over more than 30 years, to mentor dynamic local companies towards their full potential. Throughout his career, Jimmy has held various


senior management positions, predominately in the food sector working for industry leading suppliers to the major UK retailers. During this time, he has used his strong operational skills and keen commercial focus to proactively grow the businesses he led. Jimmy said: “Having worked in industry for over
