Welcome to the July issue

It’s the Broadstone Family Fun Day on Sunday 7th July and the team is looking forward to welcoming you to another great event (pg73).

As we draw to the end of another academic year, Corfe Hills School updates us on their students’ achievements (pg33) and wishes good luck to those who have taken their exams – as do we. For younger children kicking their heels over the holidays, Broadstone Library launches its space-themed reading challenge and offers some interesting activites (pg50).

Good luck to the local students representing GB in Handball in Sweden this month – to keep succeeding they are actively looking for help with their funding (pg8). Also trying to raise funds are local under 10s football team Merley Cobham Spitfires (pg36). Do get in touch if you can help.

In this issue, our local councillors have some interesting updates from the new Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Council (pg12). The Neighbourhood Watch has some good advice from the new Chief Inspector for Bournemouth and Poole (pg24) and the local policing team shares their top tips for avoiding car crime (pg46).

Welcome to new advertisers Pro Decor decorating services (pg13), Freedom Wills will writing and estate planning services (pg17), and Chair Yoga – a gentle restorative movement practice held weekly on York Road (pg69).

Finally, congratulations to Penelope Vaughan-Pipe from Broadstone Christian Nursery, who was invited to a Royal Garden Party for her services to childcare (pg30). Very well deserved.

Until next time, Karen In this issue...
