As the days are getting longer and we start to enjoy long and sunny evenings, all units in Broadstone and Creekmoor District are planning various outdoor activities.
At 3rd Broadstone Brownies, following the Brownies’ request, we are going to Butchers Coppice for an evening of trampolining, climbing and abseiling and we are planning an evening of orienteering at Upton Country Park.
This year marks the anniversary of the opening of 1st Broadstone Guides in 1919. As a district, to mark this milestone of 100 years of guiding in Broadstone, we had a big party on 23rd June. All the units were invited to a big birthday party, for an afternoon full of games and activities and, of course, party food and cake. As part of the celebrations, the guides units are also going to have a special trip to Switzerland in the summer, where they will be making lots of new memories.
As a district, we are also going to take part in the Broadstone Family Fun Day on 7th July, where we are going to have stalls with games and fun, so do look out for us.
For the fi rst time, this year, we have also organised a district campfi re in Delph Woods and all units from Broadstone and Creekmoor are coming together for a special evening of hotdogs, games and sing songs. We are all very excited.
