Miss Macaroon makes the difference at patron event
The founder of a social enterprise and joint winner of an Asian Business Chamber of Commerce (ABCC) award spoke to patrons at an exclusive event. Rosie Ginday, founder of Miss Macaroon,
delivered a keynote speech to patrons at Hotel du Vin. Ms Ginday was also the recipient of the
ABCC’s Business Woman of the Year award, alongside Dee Kundi from VWV. More than 50 representatives from ABCC
patrons Mazars, Mahirs Experience, Aston University, South and City College, Natwest, Birmingham Airport, West Midland Reserve Forces and Cadets Association, HSBC, Edgbaston and FBC Mandy Bowdler heard from Ms Ginday about her journey to setting up the social enterprise Miss Macaroon. She set up the business in 2011, which makes
and sells macaroons with all proceeds going back into firm’s Macaroons that Make Difference (MacsMAD) training programme. The training programme is a 10-week course
for long-term unemployed young people, which aims to build their confidence and skills for work.
