Agency relocates as staff numbers continue to rise
City hotel lets happy couples say ‘high do’
Happy couples can now take their love to new heights after Birmingham hotel Park Regis launched weddings in its 16th- floor Sky Gallery. The venue, which boasts 360
degree views across Birmingham, can accommodate 250 guests and is believed to be the largest capacity and highest wedding space in the city centre. It also has its own dedicated
ground-floor entrance and complements the hotel’s Sky Loft, which can accommodate up to 100 wedding guests. Mark Payne, general manager,
said: “When we refurbished the 16th floor, we knew that the Sky Gallery would be a superb wedding space and now, to meet demand from couples who want to celebrate their marriage in front of 250 family and friends, we have a licence to conduct ceremonies. “It’s a stunning space for any
elegant celebration or event, so adding weddings to that plan was inevitable.” Park Regis Birmingham, which
has 253 deluxe rooms, undertook an extensive £1m refurbishment of the 16th floor last year to create a remodelled, exclusive events space.
Fast-growing digital agency Lightbox has relocated to new offices in Birmingham’s St Paul’s Square after staff numbers grew from six to 18 in two years. The digital specialists have moved to the Counting House, 3 Mary
Ann Street, taking 3,000 sq ft of office space, with design-led break- out spaces, meeting rooms and improved facilities to welcome clients. Moving from an office above the Cherry Reds bar on John Bright
Street, the new space enables Lightbox to continue its growth strategy. The firm’s clients include law firm Shakespeare Martineau, Elta
Group, M6Toll, property developers Seven Capital and Birmingham charity LoveBrum. Lightbox was founded by Rob Pollard from a spare desk in a
Lichfield kitchen fitting company just over 10 years ago, before moving to Birmingham in 2015. Rob said: “Following the growth of the business over the last two
years, we wanted to create an environment that allows us to create an experience for our clients. “The new office creates the foundation for us to build the next
chapter of Lightbox, putting our clients and people first to achieve our collective ambition.” As part Lightbox’s ambitious growth plans, Anthony Bisseker has
been promoted from relationship director to managing director. Natalie Pejovic has also joined Lightbox from SuperDream as head
of client services. Natalie is joined by social media executive Hannah Gallop, SEO manager Luke Sinclair and web developer Ashley Armstrong.
